Following an extensive casting search, Prime Video has confirmed the latest additions to the cast, with Cathal Ó Síocháin starring alongside Amelia May (Claire Biggs), John Hewson (Gerard Gibson), Indy Lewis (Lizzie Young), Alex Dunne (Hugh Biggs), Dixie Egerickx (Katie Wilmot), Daisy Jacob (Bella Wilkinson) and Jonathan Heed (Cormac Ryan).

A bestselling romance comes to the screen

Set at the prestigious Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland, Boys of Tommen follows the emotional and often turbulent relationship between gifted rugby player Johnny Kavanagh and newcomer Shannon Lynch.

While Johnny appears destined for sporting success, a potentially career-ending injury threatens his future. Shannon, meanwhile, arrives at school carrying the burden of a difficult and abusive home life. As their worlds collide, the pair form a powerful connection that challenges the expectations of those around them and offers hope to them both.

The adaptation draws on the first two novels in Chloe Walsh’s bestselling series, which has amassed millions of readers worldwide.

Prime Video continues to invest in young adult drama

Boys of Tommen is the latest high-profile young adult series commissioned by Prime Video, reflecting the platform's continued investment in character-driven coming-of-age stories.

The series has been adapted by Poppy Cogan, whose previous credits include A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, and is directed by Brendan Canty, with Ingrid Goodwin serving as series producer.

The project was among the first major commissions overseen by Prime Video's international head, Nicole Clemens, underlining the company's confidence in the global appeal of Walsh's novels.

With its devoted fanbase, compelling romance and talented ensemble cast, Boys of Tommen is already shaping up to be one of Prime Video's biggest young adult releases.
