Following over 150 applications for this year's scholarship, Tamzin Khan was announced as the winner at the annual award ceremony at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre.

Charity Just Add Milk announced Tamzin Khan as the winner of The Luke Westlake Scholarship 2023.

About Tamzin Khan
Tamzin Khan grew up in Knowle West, in south Bristol, and is proudly working class. Tamzin discovered her love for acting when she acted in her first play in Year 5 at primary school, before continuing to enjoy acting through local youth drama groups around Bristol.
A member of National Youth Theatre at 15, Tamzin says getting into Bristol Old Vic Theatre School was a dream come true.
Tamzin describes the scholarship as an undeniably life-changing opportunity for aspiring working-class actors.

Finalists Aligible for BAFTA's Prince William Bursary
Following graduation, all eight finalists will be eligible to apply for BAFTA's Prince William Bursary, thanks to Just Add Milk's partnership with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
The bursary is a fund that financially supports early-career creatives.

About The Luke Westlake Scholarship
The Luke Westlake Scholarship is an annual award that provides an actor with financial and developmental support worth over £6,000 in their final years of training as they graduate from university or drama school and begin to navigate their way into the industry.
The scholarship was established in 2019 when Just Add Milk realised that many actors were being priced out of their careers before they even graduated.
After spending upwards of £30k to simply study, actors then need to purchase database subscriptions, materials for marketing themselves, self-tape equipment and more. Many actors work zero-hours jobs so they can duck out at short notice to attend auditions, and can lack the contacts to get their foot in the door.
The scholarship is named in memory of Luke Westlake, a friend of JAM and a talented actor who trained with them at ArtsEd from 2014 to 2017. A diligent, fierce, working-class actor, Luke represented everything the scholarship stands for.
