JAM Academy Acting Workshop

Tuesday 4th August | 10am–5pm

A fun, supportive and practical acting workshop designed to build confidence, develop performance skills, and strengthen your ability to work both independently and as part of an ensemble.

Throughout the day, you'll explore improvisation, stage performance, screen acting, and character work, while receiving personalised feedback from Sarah in a creative and encouraging environment.

You'll Work On:

  • Warm-up exercises and ensemble-building activities

  • Improvisation and quick-thinking skills

  • Listening, imagination and spontaneity

  • Group scene work for the stage

  • Screen acting technique

  • Taking direction and applying notes

  • Industry Q&A with Sarah

Stage Scene Work

Working in pre-assigned groups, you'll bring a scripted scene to life for a live audience. Sarah will guide the rehearsal process, helping you develop character, strengthen performance choices, and build confidence in ensemble work before sharing your scene with the group.

Screen Acting

Participants will perform a pre-assigned scene for camera, receiving professional feedback and direction before filming a second take. Filmed footage will be provided following the workshop for personal use and review.
