Nadia Kamalli Joins Cast of ITVX’s G’wed Season 2
Rising actor Nadia Kamalli has been announced as part of the cast for Season 2 of ITVX’s hit comedy-drama G’wed. She will play the role of Lauren in the new series.
Kamalli was previously nominated for the Luke Westlake Scholarship, the annual award established by Just Add Milk Productions (JAM) to support working-class and low-income actors in the UK. Her nomination marked her as one of the most exciting emerging performers of her cohort, and her latest casting further highlights her growing profile within the British television industry.
About G’wed Season 2
G’wed debuted on ITVX in early 2024 and quickly gained a strong following for its sharp humour, authentic characters and Liverpool setting. The show explores the lives of a group of teenagers navigating school, friendships, and family in modern Britain.
Season 2 promises to build on the show’s popularity with returning cast members alongside fresh new faces, including Nadia Kamalli as Lauren. The new season is expected to air later this year exclusively on ITVX.
Nadia Kamalli’s Career So Far
Kamalli’s nomination for the Luke Westlake Scholarship reflected her strong early promise as a performer during training. The Scholarship, set up in memory of actor Luke Westlake, offers financial and developmental support to working-class actors entering the industry and has become one of the UK’s leading actor bursaries.
Her casting in G’wed marks her first major screen role and is expected to introduce her talent to a much wider audience.
About the Luke Westlake Scholarship
Founded in 2019 by Just Add Milk Productions (JAM), the Luke Westlake Scholarship provides over £6,000 worth of financial and professional support to a second-year acting student from a working-class or low-income background. Past winners and nominees have gone on to secure work on stage and screen across the UK.
The Scholarship continues to highlight talented actors like Nadia Kamalli, who are breaking into the industry despite financial barriers.
