I,
Deserve
By Simon Vinnicombe
A new play developed with Just Add Milk.
The project
A story of motherhood, courage and love in the face of violence.
Toni is a mother in her forties who feels she is losing everything she holds dear. With the support of a therapist, she begins to revisit a childhood shaped by domestic violence.
To become the mother she wants to be, Toni must confront her relationship with the mother she had. Moving between her childhood and the present, the play follows her fight to give her son the safety and love she never knew.
Just Add Milk produced an R&D of Simon Vinnicombe’s I, Deserve in autumn 2023.
