Ayo Owoyemi-Peters Joins Netflix Thriller The Woman in Cabin 10

Actor Ayo Owoyemi-Peters has been cast in the upcoming Netflix thriller The Woman in Cabin 10, based on Ruth Ware’s bestselling novel.

Owoyemi-Peters, who was shortlisted for the Luke Westlake Scholarship, continues to make waves in stage and screen. Her latest screen role in The Woman in Cabin 10 places him in a high-profile Netflix production that is already drawing global attention.

About The Woman in Cabin 10

Based on Ruth Ware’s bestselling psychological thriller, The Woman in Cabin 10 follows a journalist who embarks on a luxury yacht for a travel assignment. One night, she witnesses a passenger being thrown overboard — but when she raises the alarm, she is told she must have imagined it, as all passengers are accounted for.

Despite being dismissed, she refuses to let the incident go, setting out to uncover the truth. The story explores themes of gaslighting, trust, and survival, in a tense thriller that keeps audiences questioning what is real.

Author Ruth Ware explained the ongoing resonance of the story in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum:

“The fear of not being believed is perennial, unfortunately. Cabin 10, at its heart, is about a woman who experiences something wrong, reports it truthfully, and isn’t taken seriously because of who she is. Too many people know what that feels like and I think we want vindication for ourselves as much as Lo.”

Ayo Owoyemi-Peters has been recognised as one of the UK’s most promising emerging actors, having been shortlisted for the Luke Westlake Scholarship, which champions working-class and low-income actors entering the industry.
