2023 Luke Westlake Scholarship winner Sol Taibi will play Tommo in Calendar Girls: The Musical at Theatre by the Lake, Keswick.
Award-winning actor Sol Taibi, winner of the 2023 Luke Westlake Scholarship, has been cast as Tommo in Calendar Girls: The Musical at Theatre by the Lake. The new production runs from 6 August to 5 September 2026 and is presented by Theatre by the Lake in association with Stephen Joseph Theatre, New Wolsey Theatre and Octagon Theatre Bolton.
Sol Taibi joins the beloved musical
Based on the inspiring true story that captured hearts around the world, Calendar Girls: The Musical tells the remarkable tale of a group of Women's Institute members who create a nude calendar to raise money for charity following the death of a close friend's husband.
What begins as a fundraising idea soon becomes an international phenomenon, transforming the lives of the women involved while celebrating friendship, resilience and community.
Sol Taibi takes on the role of Tommo, joining the company for this heartwarming production featuring music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and a book by Tim Firth.
